Joyce Chambers, 85, of Savannah, MO passed away Friday, February 14th, 2025 at LaVerna Manor Health in Savannah. She was born on March 12th, 1939 in Craig, MO to William and Zelma (Davis) Kimbrough. She married Donnie Chambers on November 16th, 1962 in St. Joseph, Mo and they enjoyed 62 years together and he survives of the home.
Joyce was a bookkeeper for the R.E.A for 17 years, she then was a rural mail for the U.S. post office, where she retired at 62. Throughout her life she also kept books and did taxes from home.
Joyce enjoyed being outdoors. She enjoyed gardening and the occasional moving of a tree in the yard. She liked football and basketball and about any sport. Above all she loved her grandchildren and family the most.
Survivors include her husband; children, Clayt (Shelley)Chambers and Trent Chambers both of Savannah, MO; grandchildren, Jake (Amanda) Chambers Lee Summit, MO, Shelby Chambers Savannah, and a great-grandson on the way; sister, Beverly Edwards of St. Joseph. Several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation and family receiving hours will be Thursday, 5:00pm-7:00pm February 20th, 2025 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home Savannah, MO. Funeral services will be Friday, 10:00am February 21, 2025 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home. Burial will be in Savannah Cemetery.
