2 Mo. teens avoid injury after crash in horse-drawn vehicle

DAVIESS COUNTY—Two Missouri teen avoided serious injury after an accident just before 10:30p.m. Sunday in Daviess County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Chevy Silverado driven by Ryan P. Arnold, 38, was northbound on Route J two miles north of Kidder.

The pickup struck the drivers side of a horse-drawn vehicle driven by Namoi Herschberger, 19, Kidder, that was attempting to turn southbound on Route J from a private drive.

EMS treated Herschberger and a 16-year-old female passenger from Kidder in the horse-drawn vehicle at the scene. Arnold was wearing a seat belt and not injured, according to the MSHP.
