The Missouri Propane Education and Research Council, MO-PERC, has approved a draft for its budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
MO-PERC is a not-for-profit organization created to promote the safe use of propane in the Show-Me State, and collect a tax on propane sales.
Line items of the budget include:
- $519,000- Rebates for commercial lawn equipment, fleet vehicles, and gas dispensing.
- $333,500- Market Development, including advertising, residential outreach, and appliance rebates.
- $230, 100- Statewide Safety Education and Training efforts.
- $324,660- Administrative costs.
Propane sellers and members of the public are free to make comment concerning the budget or MO-PERC's priorities by writing:
