Update: Driver arrested, woman hospital after being ejected in crash

CLINTON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 10p.m. Sunday in Clinton County. A short time later, authorities arrested the driver.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Dodge Dart driven by Jacob Villa, 27, El Paso, TX, was southbound on Interstate 35 four miles south of Cameron.

The car traveled off the west side of the road into the median and rolled. The passenger identified as Aubrey J. Allen, 30, Enid, OK., was ejected.

Cameron ambulance transported Allen to Cameron Regional Medical Center and then Lifeflight transferred her to Truman Medical Center. Villa was not injured.  Allen was not wearing a seat belt, according to the    MSHP.

Just after 11p.m. Sunday Villa was booked on requested charges that included tampering, first-degree felony, careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident, felony leaving the scene of a crash, driving without a valid license and for marijuana, according the MSHP.
