William "Bill" Owens, 92, St. Joseph, Missouri; passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025 at his home.
Bill was born on July 26, 1932 in St. Joseph, Missouri to the late, John and Nora (Johnson) Owens.He was a graduate of Benton High School, where he was a Colonel in the ROTC and met his wife, Coni Arneson, they were married 67 years.
Mr. Owens was a computer operator for St. Joseph Light & Power, retiring 27 years ago.
Bill and wife were part of the founding members of Grace Evangelical Church.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Coni; brother, Bob; sister, Linda; sons, Steven and Jeffrey; great-granddaughters, Jennifer and Madelynn.
Bill is survived by his sister, Betty; daughter, Joyce (Robert); Nancy; son, John (Lisa); 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to 3 Rivers Hospice for their exceptional care.
Mr. Owens has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidefaden Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, May 29 at Grace Calvary Chapel.
The family has requested memorial donations to Grace Calvary Chapel.
