NODAWAY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 4:30p.m. Friday in Nodaway County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue driven by a 19-year-old Ravenwood man was eastboiund on U.S. 136 at Liberty Road. The car rear-ended a 2020 GMC Acadia driven by a 57-year-old Columbia woman who had slowed for traffic. The impact pushed the GMC across the center of the road where it struck a westbound 2022 Ford Escape driven by a 24-year-old Conception Junction woman.
A private vehicle transported the 57-year-old to Mosaic in Maryville. There were no other injuries. The teen driver was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
