HOLT COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 9:30a.m. Friday in Holt County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Jesus Nevarez, 59, Amarillo, Texas, was northbound on Interstate 29 one mile south of Craig.
The driver failed to yield to a construction vehicle with orange and yellow lights. The pickup rear-ended the 2018 Isuzu truck driven by Mamadou A. Blade, 34, Kansas City, Kansas. After impact the Dodge traveled off the east side of the road and struck an embankment.
Holt County EMS transported Nevarez to Mosaic in St. Joseph. Blade was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
