Three adults, two juveniles injured in Andrew Co. crash

ANDREW COUNTY —Five people were injured in an accident just after 11a.m. Monday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Honda Accord driven by Amy Sue M. Jackson, 28, Savannah, was southbound on Route K at Route T in the Amazonia city limits.

The driver failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the center of the road and struck a northbound 2023 Hyundia Santa Fe driven by Larry W. Etzler, 71, Amazonia. After impact the Hyundia traveled off the road, overturned and struck a tree.

EMS transported Jackson and two passengers in the Honda, a 12-year-old girl and a 15-year-old, girl both from St. Joseph to Mosaic Life Care. 

Andrew County EMS transported Etzler and a passenger Karen S. Etzler, 69, Amazonia, to Mosaic. The occupants of the Honda were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP.
