Danny B. Blanchard, aged 76, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away on January 7, 2026. Born on November 5, 1949 in St. Joseph, Missouri, he was the beloved son of the late Doris and Charles “Bud” Blanchard. A proud graduate of Benton High School, Class of 1969, Danny shared 55 wonderful years with his wife, Vicki Bravo.
He dedicated many years of his career to Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, and he also enjoyed working at his brother-in-law’s bait shop, “Bob’s Bait.” Family was the cornerstone of Danny’s life, and he cherished every moment spent with his sons and grandchildren, supporting them in their various activities and achievements.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Kenny Blanchard and Carol Parkhurst, and brother-in-law, Bob Ziolkowski. He is survived by his loving wife, Vicki Blanchard; his sons, Danny (Erin) Blanchard, Jeremy (Darcee) Blanchard, and John (Bobbi Jo) Blanchard; his sister, Janice Ziolkowski; his grandchildren Rah-Vin, Colton, Drake, Hannah, and Krimzyn Blanchard, Elizabeth Gilbert, Kazdyn Pierce-Blanchard, Daniel and Derek Musser; and his great-grandchildren, Princeton, Wylder, and Lincoln.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:00 pm on Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home, followed by funeral services and a public live stream at 7:00 pm on January 12, 2026 at the same location.
