King City, MO: Dyas Brown, 86, of King City, MO passed away Thursday, May, 30, 2024 at a St. Joseph, MO nursing home.
Dyas was born September 25, 1937 in Wallace, Buchanan County, Missouri the son of Margaret Elizabeth Collier.
On May 10, 1967, he married Patricia Ann Ellis in St. Joseph, Missouri. She preceded him in death on April 19, 2020.
Dyas worked for Mead Paper Products for several years. He retired from the Army National Guard where he was so proud of his service. The Guard took him to many places around the world. Dyas attended the King City Baptist Church. He was a helper who did not know a stranger.
In addition to his wife, Dyas was also preceded in death by his mother; son, Ronald James Crockett; granddaughters, Latisha Crockett and Carolyn Grable and grandsons, Eric Crockett and Austin Parton.
Survivors include his sons, Gary Brown (Shelly Scott), Ricky (Robin) Crockett and Raymond Crockett all of St. Joseph, MO and Roy Melvin Godsey of Maryville, MO; daughters, Kathy Crockett and Vicky Gardner both of King City, MO; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 3, at King City Cemetery, King City, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, King City,
MO. There is no visitation.
