Fred Schott, 71, St. Joseph, Missouri; passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Fred was born on September 15, 1951 in St. Joseph, Missouri, to the late Francis X., Sr. and Helen Virginia (Rice) Schott. He was a graduate of Christian Brothers High School, Missouri Western State University and The Athenaeum of Ohio.
Mr. Schott spent his career in non-profit, working in client outreach for Audiology with a Heart. He was a former Christian Brother and priest for the Diocese of Covington, Kentucky.
Fred was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and the St. Joseph Community Chorus. He composed liturgical music and was active in outreach for the poor and education of the deaf.
Mr. Schott is survived by lifetime friend, Tom Wilcoxson; two brothers, Frank (Bobbie) Schott and Dick (Pam) Schott; cousin, Margaret Dreesmann; friend, John Evans and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Schott has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Celebration of Life 10:30 AM Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Christ Episcopal Church.
