Samuel Wayne Harold Maag, 50, of Atchison, KS, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at Amberwell Health, Atchison, KS.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, with Pastor Mary McDonnell officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until time of service at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to help with final expenses may be sent in care of the funeral home. Samuel was born July 25, 1971, in St. Joseph, MO, the son of Phillip Eugene and Mary Lou (Izer) Maag. He was baptized at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Samuel enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping.
Survivors include his mother Mary Lou Earl, Atchison, KS, along with his siblings and nieces and nephews, Bonnie and Rick MacLeod, Cabot, AR, Maggie Bowles, St. Joseph, MO and her daughter Amy Bowles, Rosemary Lance (preceded) her children, Bonnie Wason, Jeri Lemons, Catrina Moss, Atchison, KS, her daughter, Caroline Diaz, Larry Maag, Atchison, KS, Pamela Crawley, Atchison, KS, her son, Bryson Gray, Rhonda and Bobby Smith, Atchison, KS, her children, Shawneekia and Shawneece Mays, Shawn Maag, Jaime Hawkins, St. Joseph, MO, her children, Jauice, Jadie and Jaraya and a uncle Kenneth and Pam MacLeod.
He was preceded by his father and a sister Rosemary Lance.
