ATCHISON COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 8:30a.m. Friday in Atchison County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Chevy Suburban driven by Adrienne Meredith, 47, Nortonville, was eastbound on Kansas 116 one mile west of Cummings Road.
The driver attempted to slow at the U.S. 59 junction, but was unable to stop. The SUV slid off the roadway, rolled and came to rest on the roof.
EMS transported Meredith Amberwell. She was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
