Widespread rain and freezing rain is falling throughout the area, prompting widespread school closings, including St. Joseph and Savannah public schools. St. Joseph Catholic schools and St. Joseph Christian School have also closed today.
The National Weather Service has issued a weather advisory for the Midland Empire until noon today with freezing rain and freezing drizzle expected. A glaze of ice is expected. NWS advises drivers to slow down and use caution while traveling.
Rain or freezing rain this morning will change to rain later today with a high of 37. Little or no ice accumulation is expected.
There is a chance of rain or freezing rain overnight with a low of 34.
Rain likely tomorrow with a high of 39.
