By TOMMY REZACSt. Joseph PostSt. Joseph health officials report just eight new cases of COVID-19 in Buchanan County Wednesday.There have been 9,897 total cases in the county since the pandemic began, resulting in 157 fatalities. There hasn't been a COVID-related death in Buchanan County yet this week.Local COVID-19 hospitalizations remain low. Mosaic Life Care reports just 14 COVID patients in its system - all are being treated in the St. Joseph hospital.Andrew County reports four new cases of COVID-19 for a total of 1,953. They've also reported 20 virus-related fatalities.Missouri reports an additional 867 cases (468,189 total) and 13 new deaths (7,161 total).Since Monday, Kansas has reported 1,934 new cases (284,984 total) and 106 new deaths (4,303 total).
