Jesse M. Reynolds, 83, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at his home.
He was born September 7, 1942 in Dearborn, Missouri, to William and Celia (Joslin) Reynolds. He grew up in Savannah, Missouri, and graduated from Savannah High School.
On June 6, 1960, Jesse married Sharon Kay Gust. She preceded him in death on June 15, 2019.
He worked on the assembly line at Ford Motor Company in Kansas City, Missouri, for 33-plus years until retirement. He always enjoyed having new Fords to drive, especially the F-150s.
Jesse’s faith and family were important parts of his life. He served the Lord as a longtime member of Word of Life Church, and cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren.
Besides his membership in the Eagles Lodge #49 and shooting pool, Jesse’s life revolved around horses. In his younger years, he participated in barrel racing and pole bending, then later on he raised, trained and raced horses, passing on this passion to his son, Kelly.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Sharon; his parents; and siblings, William “Bill” Reynolds and Larry Reynolds.
Survivors include his children, Karrie Spor (Gerry) and Kelly Reynolds (Laurie); grandchildren, Adam Treece (Anne), Kristina Nold (Nate), Allen Spor, Jennifer Churchill (Chad), and Jessica Roe (Cody); great-grandchildren, Zachary, Kali, Jayden, Zoey, Trey, Brayden, Kayley, Ella, and Eli; other extended family and friends; and his beloved dog, Buddy.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 30, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family suggests memorial contributions to the St. Joseph Animal Shelter.
