Jeanette was born on June 27, 1955, in St. Joseph, MO, the daughter of John and Norma Neumann. She attended Spring Grove Elementary School, of rural Troy, KS, and later Troy Elementary and Troy High School. She graduated as valedictorian of the 1973 Troy High School class. She received her bachelor’s degree in education from Kansas State University in 1977. And later she earned her Master’s Degree in education.

She started her teaching career in Wamego, KS, teaching third grade for two years, before moving to Troy KS, where she taught 7th & 8th grade. Then she moved to Westport Middle School in Kansas City, MO.  After 22 years in the KCMO school district she returned to Kansas to teach at Coronado Middle School, Kansas City, KS. She retired in 2019 after teaching for 43 years. Altogether Jeanette influenced the lives of over 3,000 students with her teaching.

Jeanette married William Boeh June 18th, 1988, who proceeded her in death on March 15, 1993. The thing she most dearly treasured was the home that she and Bill created where she spent many hours caring for her flowers, fish pond and bird feeders. She loved to knit, sew, and quilt. Her amazing skills have produced many family treasures over the years, including special Christmas stockings for her family members.

She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Kansas City, MO, and was part of the Women’s Prayer Circle. She loved being active and found friends with the Baultaler (German) Dance Group of Kansas City, and the Scandinavian Folk Dancers of Kansas City. She spent many hours with costumes, event planning and performing all over with these two groups. Jeanette enjoyed her co-workers, friends and church family very much. She loved to travel with her friends, volunteering at the Kaleidoscope in Kansas City and making the world a better place by being such a great wife, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, friend, and co-worker. She touched many people’s lives, and the world is better for having had her for the past 67 years.
