Butch Parrish age 79, of Robinson, Kansas, passed away February 13, 2026, in Kansas City, Kansas.
He was born on September 30,1946, in Madison,Tennessee. He lived a life marked by dedication to his family, and many friends.
He was a proud Army Veteran of the Vietnam War; Butch served his country with honor and courage. His military service was a defining chapter of his life, reflecting his commitment to duty and sacrifice for others.
After returning home from service, Butch built a loving family with his wife of 38 years, Linda. Together they raised their son James. In 1986, they moved to Robinson, KS to live a quiet life in the country. Though, Linda preceded him in death, her memory remained ever present in his heart.
Butch's legacy continues through his surviving family: his son, James (Samantha) Parrish, grandson, Sebastian (Karla) Parrish, and granddaughter, Sara (Devin) Harris. Butch also, has six great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Ruth Moore, of Overland Park, KS, and Frances Hamilton, of Tennessee.
He was proceeded in death by his parents James and Annie Parrish; his beloved wife Linda; five brothers and 4 sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews to whom he was close.
Throughout the years, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. His warmth extended beyond family to all those whose lives he touched.
Services for Butch, will be a graveside service, with Military Honors, will be held Monday, April 13th, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at the Robinson, KS Cemetery, Rose Hill Cemetery. Pastor Richard Lehmkuhl will be officiating.
A dinner will follow the service for family and friends at the Eternal Hope Worship Center in Hiawatha, at 410 East Iowa Street Hiawatha, KS 66434.
