Clinton Duane Rhodes, 55, of Dearborn, Missouri, rests without pain in his heavenly home, after peacefully passing away July 27, 2025.Clint was born August 27, 1969, in North Kansas City, Missouri, to Charles and Freda Rhodes. He was a 1988 graduate of Platte County R-III high school, and was a lifelong resident of Platte County.
Clint demonstrated a lifetime of service to family, friends and the community. He thrived on helping others and would give the shirt off his back if it would make a difference. Despite his tough outer shell, he had a big and giving heart that he did not often show.
He was an EMT with Tri County Ambulance prior to beginning an 18 year service to the Central Platte Fire District. In 2011, Clint did not hesitate to travel to New York City and assist with 911’s Ground Zero recovery. In 2023, he started a 501(c) (3) charitable organization, “Gone But Never Forgotten,” to lessen the financial burden of fallen firefighters’ families and to give scholarships to young person’s wanting to become firefighters or EMS.
Clint had many hobbies that included gardening, hunting, fishing and quilting. He was a great cook and could fix or build about anything.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Rhodes (Goodpaster); mother, Freda Rhodes of Kansas City, MO; son, Matthew Rhodes (Kaitlyn) of Peculiar, MO; brother, Darrin Rhodes (Lori), of Platte City, MO; sister, Cynthia Sheldon (Vernon) of Syracuse, UT; four grandchildren, Devin and Mariesa, of the home, Nash and Reid; and two nieces and seven nephews.
Clint was preceded in death by his father Charles W. Rhodes and his daughter Pennie Marie Rhodes.
