Steven W. Schroeder, 44, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
He was born September 9, 1980 in St. Joseph to Allen and Elizabeth (Cogdill) Schroeder. He graduated from Benton High School, and the Missouri Western Regional Law Enforcement Academy.
He worked for the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Department as a reserve deputy, then the City of St. Joseph Sewer Department for 25 years.
Steven enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and grandparents.
Survivors include his father, Allen W. Schroeder of St. Joseph; children, Zackary Schroeder and Corby Schroeder, both of St. Joseph; grandchild, Brayden Schroeder of St. Joseph; brother, Ken Schroeder (Charity) of Faucett, Missouri; and several cousins.
