ATCHISON COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 2p.m. Monday in Atchison County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Chevy Equinox driven by Lisa M. Hansen, 61, Atchison, was eastbound on Kansas 20 just west of 7th Avenue in Horton. The driver swerved to miss an animal in the road. The vehicle traveled into south ditch, struck a cement box culvert and came to rest in a creek.
EMS transported Hansen to Amberwell. She was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
