John Jasinski is leaving his post as President of Northwest Missouri State University.

Jasinski said in an email to campus that he would be parting ways with the university after the Board of Regents opted to not renew his contract.

Jasinski will leave the position on June 30th, when his contract expires. A search for the next President will begin in the fall.

Jasinski served as the President since 2009. During that time, the university saw record enrollment and retention. Jasinski also spearheaded the Forever Green campaign at Northwest.

Jasinski says the Board informed him that the decision was not based on the performance of Northwest.
