Mo. couple hospitalized after motorcycle accident

ANDREW COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 11:30p.m. Monday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Yamaha Royal Star driven by a 50-year-old Savannah man was westbound on MO 48 at County Road 227 six miles west of King City.

The driver failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The motorcycle traveled off the south side of the road, down an embankment and overturned. The driver and passenger were ejected. Grand River EMS transported the driver and the 46-year-old female passenger to Mosaic Life Care. They were not wearing helmets, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
