Erma Elizabeth Wood departed this world on August 14, 2025 while living in St. Joseph, Missouri.
She was born November 29, 1934 to George Russell Shinaut and Bessie Kenyon in Gentry County, Missouri.
She graduated from King City, Missouri, High School and later moved to St. Joseph, where she met and married William Francis Barton on December 24, 1953.
From that union there were two children, Mary M. (Hugh, deceased) Bailey and William R. (Rhonda) Barton.
She later married Lilbourn R. Wood on April 7, 1977 and moved to Kansas.
She is survived by two children; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Linda (Harrison) Waugh and a niece and nephew.
