The St. Joseph Mustangs overcame a 5-0 deficit, scoring four runs in the bottom of the ninth and beating Jefferson City in walk-off fashion 6-5 Tuesday at Phil Welch Stadium.
Tyler Petrosino hit the go-ahead RBI single to center with two on and two out in the ninth, scoring Ryan Koski and Jaxon Himel for the winning runs.
Petrosino went 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Michael Paule was 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored. The Mustangs’ record improves to 17-8, and they’ve now won eight of their last 10 games.
St. Joseph is off Wednesday, but stays home Thursday to host North Kansas City. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
