Robert “Bob” Duane Antle, age 92, was born August 31, 1933 in King City, Missouri, the son of Leavern and Eva Caroline (Taylor) Antle and passed away on November 16, 2025.
Bob faithfully served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. After returning home, he married the love of his life, Barbara Don Tyer, on May 24, 1958, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, at Reverend Miller’s home. God blessed their union with three children.
Bob was a proud and devoted member of the American Legion Post 508, where he especially enjoyed gathering with friends for a good game of Poker. He found joy in fishing, horse races, and sports of any kind. He was a longtime member of Culbertson Chapel United Methodist Church, where his faith was an important part of his life.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Barbara Don Antle; sisters, Sharon Lippitt, Carolyn Hewitt, Beverly Jenkins (his twin), Alma Carmichael, Jenelda Carmichael, Jeneal Groom, Melba Hart, Connie Snapp; brother, Jerry Antle.
He is lovingly remembered by his three children, Mark (Michele) Antle, Scott (Lisa) Antle, and Diana (Kevin) Grier; brother, Richard (Charlotte) Antle; seven grandchildren, Megan (Brian) Free, Myles (Maggie) Antle, Drew (Mallory) Antle, Tyler (Georganna) Antle, Blake Antle, Shane Grier, and Haley Grier, and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Culbertson Chapel United Methodist Church in Stewartsville, with burial immediately following at Stewartsville Cemetery.Visitation will be from 6:00 ~ 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bob’s memory to American Legion Post 508 or Culbertson Chapel.
