Gary Lee Smith 72, of St. Joseph, MO, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023 at his home. He was born December 18, 1950, son of the late Betty and Burnie Smith. He was the owner operator of Jiffy Mobile Home Repair. He enjoyed drinking Busch Light, fishing, gambling, spending time in the Wiggle Inn with his family, and traveling. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters: Margaret Ann Hodge and Virginia Smith, and brothers; LeRoy and Dale Dean Smith. Survivors include: companion, Julie Smith, children: Treasa Waitkoss, Gary Smith, Leasa Norton (Mike Shaw), Evan Smith, Kaylee (Tanner) Conroy and Angie Dawson all of St. Joseph, MO, siblings: Danny Smith, Karen Phelps, Tina Thompson, Vicki Smith, Patty Piner, Laura Rollett, Treasa Parker, Julie Leffler, Nancy Guthrie, and Lois Griffin, 15 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 10:00 am, Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the Rupp Funeral Home, The Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
