A boil water advisory has been issued for south St. Joseph as
well as southern Buchanan County, including Faucett.

Missouri American Water issued a precautionary boil water
advisory this morning for that area, stating that it was due to a power outage
at Union and Landis Standpipes. Missouri American expects to have the boil advisory
in place for 48 hours.

Under the advisory, any water used for drinking or cooking
should be brought to a rolling boil for three minutes. Water can be used for
bathing, washing, and other non-consumable uses.
