The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northwest Missouri region for the week of April 6-12.
There may be moving operations, such as mowing, brush cutting and litter removal, throughout the region in addition to the work mentioned below. Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. Check the MoDOT Traveler Information Map, or download the app for updated information.
MoDOT asks drivers to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, slowing down and moving over in work zones.
Atchison County
U.S. Route 136 – Resurfacing and drainage improvement project through July 2026. The road will be narrowed to one lane, and a 10-foot width restriction will be in place.
Routes 46, 111, V, B, C – Various bridge rehabilitation projects through May 2026. The bridges may be narrowed to one lane with flaggers.
Buchanan County
Gene Field Road Bridge – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project through July 2026.
U.S. Route 59/Route 752/Route U – Intersection improvement project through spring 2027.
U.S. Route 169 – CLOSED for an intersection improvement project at Southeast Riverside Terrace through mid-July 2026.
Route 169 – Intersection improvement project at Route FF through mid-August 2026. A 10-foot width restriction will be in place. Access to 49th Street will be closed through June 2026.
U.S. Route 36 – Concrete replacement eastbound at the Craig Parkway ramp, April 6-7.
Caldwell County
Route 13 – Milling parking spots and the roadway for a resurfacing and ADA improvements project from Samuel Street to School Street in Hamilton through mid-April. Route 13 will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers. (Contractor: Herzog Contracting Corp.).
Route U – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Pacific Road to Gould Farm Road, April 6-7, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
Route U – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Gould Farm Road to New York Road, April 8, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Route U – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from New York Road to Pleasant Ridge Road, April 9, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Route U – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Pleasant Ridge Road to NE Gospel Road, April 10, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Clinton County
I-35 – Pavement rehabilitation in the southbound lanes from Exit 40 (Lathrop) to Exit 48 (south Cameron) through September 2026. Both north and southbound traffic will be one lane, each direction, in the northbound lanes.
Daviess County
Route 13 – ADA improvements project from Berry Street to Van Buren Street in Gallatin through mid-April. Route 13 will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers.
DeKalb County
Route O – CLOSED for multiple culvert replacements from Route P to Route N, April 7-9, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.
Gentry County
U.S. Route 136 – Shoulder work from the Nodaway County line to Route 13 (Harrison County), April 6-10.

U.S. Route 136 – Shoulder work from Route 13 to the Nodaway County line, April 6-10.
Public Meeting – U.S. Route 69 bridge replacement over Zadie Branch. A public meeting will be held April 9, 4-6 p.m. at the Eagleville Community Center (10028 10th St., Eagleville, MO 64442). More Info Here.

Routes B, 111, 59, C, N – Various bridge rehabilitation projects through May 2026. The bridges may be narrowed to one lane with flaggers.
Nodaway County
U.S. Route 71 – Resurfacing project from the Iowa state line to U.S. Route 136 near Burlington Junction through April 2026. The road will be narrowed to one lane, and a 10-foot width restriction will be in place.
Route YY – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from 160th Street to 170th Street, April 7, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Route E – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from west Route NN to east Route NN, April 6-7, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
Route E – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from U.S. Route 136 to 250th Street, April 8, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Route E – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from 250th Street to 240th Street, April 9, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Route E – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from 220th Street to 200th Street, April 10, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Route 113 – Various bridge rehabilitation projects through May 2026. The bridges may be narrowed to one lane with flaggers.
Worth County
Route 46 – CLOSED at Marlowe Branch Creek for a bridge replacement project through May 2026.
