Donna Hoover, 86, of Rushville, MO died on Monday, February 5, 2024, at North Kansas City Hospice House. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 9th, 2024, at the Sugar Creek Christian Church in Rushville, MO with Rev. Keith Hoover officiating. Burial will follow at the Sugar Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services (10:00-11:00am) Friday, February 9th, 2024, at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sugar Creek Christian Church and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Donna was born on March 6, 1937, in Rushville, Missouri, the daughter of Ralph and Carrie (Griffith) Blakley. Donna married Raphael Hoover on May 14, 1955. Donna was a homemaker and raised two children. She was a member of the PTA while her children were young, the mayor of Rushville, MO for four years, and member of the Sugar Creek Christian Church. Donna enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning, working in the yard, and camping.
Survivors include one son Keith (Laurie) Hoover, Dekalb, MO, one daughter Amy (Steve) Enyart, Kansas City, MO, four grandchildren, Nathan Hoover, Erin Frakes, Cory Peck, and Austin Peck, and seven great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Delaney, Calvin Levi, Liam, Eliza, Sawyer, and Ayden and one sister Patty Hardesty, Omaha, NE. Donna is preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband.
