Janet Jonell (Hower) Moser, 79, of St. Joseph, Missouri, formerly of Branson, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, April 30th, 2026. Janet was born on July 23rd, 1946 to Doris (Swope) and Adam Hower in St. Joseph, Missouri. Janet was a graduate of Layfayette High School with the class of 1964.
Janet was united in marriage to Grant Moser, Jr. for over 60 years before her passing. The couple welcomed three children to this union, Grant III, Kyle, and Regina.
Janet prided herself in being a homemaker while raising her young children until they were able to attend school. When she soon took her homemaking skills and applied them to being in the preparation of meals for kids attending school, while working for the St. Joseph School District.
Janet loved to make her home to be warm, inviting, and full of good home cooked meals. Gospel music was often heard playing in her home. Janet's values of believing to put her family and others before herself will be missed by her loving family.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, Darell, and many family and friends.
Surviving Janet is her husband of 60 years, Grant Moser, Jr., her three children: Grant Moser III, Kyle Moser, and Regina Bearden (Tony). Seven Grandchildren: Amanda Chen, Jamie Brogdon, Haley Moser, Branson Snyder, Ava Dudley Moser, Tony Bearden, Jr., and Alyssa Fearon. 9 Great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Kiki Lou.
Janet has been cremated under the care and direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith-Sidenfaden Chapel in St. Joseph, Missouri. To adhere to Janet's wishes, there will be no formal service.
