David Liechti, 68, formerly of Wathena, Kansas, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, at his home in Easton, Missouri.
David was born on December 8, 1956, in St. Joseph, Missouri to Forrest Leroy and Bertha Lou (Bird) Liechti.
He graduated from Wathena High School in 1974, and shortly after graduating he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp and was very proud of his military service. David loved to fish, hunt, mushroom hunt, garden, cook and shoot guns.
David married Susan Ryser, they later divorced.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Bradley Liechti, brothers, James and Charles Liechti, sisters, Connie Liechti and Mary Miller.
Survivors include, daughter, Amanda Kimberlin (Travis). Son, Christopher Liechti. Grandchildren, Alex Livingston, Lauren Livingston (Austin), Wyatt Kimberlin, Alli Kimberlin, Axl Liechti and Nellie Liechti. Great-grandchildren, Rosemary and Everlee. Brother, Tom Liechti (Rhonda). Sisters, Cathy Trueblood and Paula Shaw (Jeff). Sisters-in-law, Donna Liechti and Kay Liechti. Numerous nieces and nephews.
David’s wishes were to be cremated with Celebration of Life Services at a later date.
