Ruthanna Ezzell, 94, Savannah, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
She was born July 19, 1929 in Dearborn, Missouri to Jake and Emma (Horn) Pryor.
Ruthanna married Orville H. Ezzell, Jr. on November 30, 1981. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2016.
She worked at Noma Lites and then at Stetson Hats for 17 years before retirement.
Ruthanna was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for American Legion Post 359, Ladies Auxiliary for Eagles Lodge Aerie 49, and La Boutique Deshuit Quarante Femmes of the 40&8 Salon 178 of St. Joseph.
She was an avid St. Joseph Saints, Blacksnakes and Mustangs fan, and loved NASCAR and Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
A strong, independent woman, Ruthanna was also a bit of a daredevil. She loved keeping up on the latest news and weather, and when a storm was coming in, she was first out the door to watch.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Junior; her parents; and daughter, Sharon Curren.
Survivors include her children, Karen White (Bob) and Ernie Bowen; six grandchildren, including Tammy Pote and Amy Brown (Brandon); and several great-grandchildren.
