Mildred Lucille (Brunk) Stuart, 99, of Savannah, Missouri, passed from this life on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Laverna Manor in Savannah, MO. Mildred was born on September 5, 1926 in Arkoe, MO to Walter and Lottie (Raines) Brunk. She married Eugene Carl Stuart on her birthday, September 5, 1942 in Savannah, Missouri and he preceded her in death in 2008.
Mildred was a homemaker and in 1953 went into business in the grocery store, gas station and tank wagon service with her husband. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and dominos with family, and later in life grew to love reading.
Survivors include: daughters, Vetra Hilsabeck and husband, Jack; Sheila Dougan and Art McEnaney all of St. Joseph; son, Ronald Stuart and wife, Priscilla, of Camdenton, Missouri; 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; and brothers, Harold and Brice Brunk.
Private family visitation will be held Saturday December 20, 2025. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Nodaway Memorial Gardens in Maryville, Missouri. Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home of Savannah, MO is in charge of local arrangements.
