CASS COUNTY —A Missouri man died in an accident just before 6:30a.m. Tuesday in Cass County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Pontiac passenger vehicle driven by Joshua W. Kolden, 38, Pleasant Hill, was eastbound on MO 7 south of 163rd Street and pulled into the path of a southbound 1997 Kenworth semi driven by Eddie G. Beaty, 63, Indepenence.
EMS transported Kolden to Lee's Summit Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Beaty was not injured. Kolden was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
