Four injured after 5-vehicle Buchanan Co. crash

BUCHANAN COUNTY—Four people were injured in an accident just before 12:30p.m. Thursday in Buchanan County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2015 Isuzu Box Truck driven by Kameron J. Turner, 26, Lee's Summit, was northbound on Interstate 29 just north of Downtown St. Joseph. 

The truck struck the towed unit of a 2007 Cadillac Escalade driven by Adan A. Ramirez, 32,  Grand View.

After impact, the driver of the Box Truck lost control and struck a 2017 Ford Explorer driven by Sherene Daniels, 42, Wathena, Kansas. The impact pushed the SUV into a 2017 Ford Fusion driven by Cole A. Fergus, 30, Shawnee, Kansas. The SUV overturned.

The driver of the Fusion lost control. The car began to spin and struck a 2007 Honda Civic driven by a 17-year-old girl from St. Joseph. The Box Truck continued off the road and struck a cable barrier. 

Buchanan County EMS transported Daniels and two juveniles in the SUV to Mosaic Life Care. A private vehicle transported Turner to Mosaic.  All drivers and passengers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
