Justin J. Dunn, 53, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026, after a courageous 13-year battle with MS.
He was born September 3, 1972 to Ted K. Dunn and Jerry G. (Graves) McDowell in Fairfax, Missouri.
He found joy in music, and it often served as a source of comfort, reflection, and happiness throughout his years. He also treasured time with his family, and those moments together were among the most important parts of his life. He also shared a special bond with his dogs and cats, who brought him companionship and happiness.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his sons, Daniel Dunn (Audrey) and James Dunn (Alex); grandchildren, Nikolai, Vivian, Macali, Rylan, and Rylee; brothers, Chris Dunn (Becky), Ryan McDowell (Anna), and Eric McDowell (Hollie); and stepfather, Robin McDowell.
Cremation under the direction of Simplify Cremations & Funerals. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
