Daviess County teen dead, 2 injured after 2-vehicle crash

DAVIESS COUNTY—A Missouri teen died and two others were injured in an accident just before 9a.m. Wednesday in Daviess County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Honda CRV driven by Jonathan J. Stoor, 18, Gallatin, was northbound on Route BB. The driver failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with U.S. 69 one half mile west of Winston.

As the driver made a right turn onto U.S. 69, a northbound  2008 Chevy Silverado driven by Jason D. Patterson, 44, Greencastle, struck the Honda.  Both vehicles traveled off the north side of the east, west portion of U.S. 69 and the Honda overturned and came to rest on its top.

Cameron ambulance transported Stoor to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph where he was pronounced deceased. 

Cameron ambulance transported a 17-year-old Gallatin boy, a passenger in the Honda, to Cameron Regional Medical Center.

Daviess County EMS transported a second passenger in the Honda, a 14-year-old Gallatin boy, to Cameron Regional Medical Center. He was later air-lifted to Children's Mercy.

Patterson was not injured. All four were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
