Pamela Kay Foster (Beers), born May 16th, 1956, passed away February 18th, after a brief illness. She was the daughter of Marvin and Helen Beers. Pam lived in St. Joseph, MO her entire life. She graduated from Central High School in 1974. She graduated from St. Joseph Beauty University and worked as a hairdresser for a few years. She attended MWSU for 2 years. She held several jobs during her lifetime, including working at Parisoffs Grocery Store, St. Joseph School District as a Para Professional and substitute teacher, and retiring from the State of Missouri in 2021 as a supervisor at the Division of Family Services. She made many life long friends during her career.
Pam married George Foster on August 3rd, 2005, her parents 50th wedding anniversary. They enjoyed antiquing together and going to Jamesport, MO to visit the shops.
Pam has two sons, Gary Steeby and Eric Steeby. In 2018 she was blessed with a granddaughter, Jordyn, whom she adored more than anything.
Pam is survived by her husband, George; sons, Gary Steeby and Eric Steeby; granddaughter, Jordyn; mother, Helen Beers; sisters, Cindy Sechter (Emil) and Jennifer Nichols (Bruce); brother, Mark Beers (Lore); and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Beers.
Pam had a way of making everyone feel special. She was a hugger extraordinaire. She loved and was loved by her family and friends. She touched so many lives and will be missed by all of us.
