Carol Reffett, 85, of Kansas City, MO passed away, April 11, 2026.
She was born on November 14, 1940 John and Viola (Herdman) Ballinger in Smithville, MO. Carol grew up in Smithville and graduated from Smithville High School in 1958.
On February 4, 1967 she was united in marriage to Ernest “Mike” Reffett. After their marriage they lived in Kansas City where they made their home. After their retirement they moved to Warsaw, MO. Her husband preceded her in death on August 13, 2004.
Carol worked at the Bank of America in Kansas City for over 30 years.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Doris Fults and Geneva Deaton; brother, Joe Ballinger; her daughter, Deborah Gilliland; grandchildren, Sam Reffett and Cassie Gilliland; and great-granddaughter, Arabella.
She is survived by her sons, Ryan (Lela) Reffett and John (Phyllis) Reffett; grandchildren, Adrian Brunk, Charlene Benjamin, Elizabeth Reffett, Carol Reffett, Lauren Reffett (Steven Harmon), Thomas Reffett, Christopher Reffett; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
