Shirley Evelyn (Blanton) Colburn, 85, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024.
She was born on December 8, 1938, to Donald Allen and Grace Louise (Mooney) Blanton in Sparks, Kansas.
She was a devoted homemaker for her three children, providing a nurturing environment as they grew up. As the years went on, she took charge as a full-time hardworking employee and mother. She worked numerous jobs throughout the years, dedicating the same care and work ethic to each one.
Shirley enjoyed being outdoors and different outdoor activities, including camping. She had a love for collecting different trinkets.
She was a happy-go-lucky spirit with a positive outlook on life and saw good in every person and every situation. Her vivid spirit will be missed and continue on in the hearts of her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, JoAnna Louise (Blanton) Link and Donna Lee (Blanton) Wiley.
Survivors include her sister, Eva May (Blanton) Stahl; children, Linda Russell, Daniel Colburn, and Donald Colburn; four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one niece and nine nephews.
