Bishop LeBlond senior Fred Lageschulte has signed to play football at NAIA powerhouse Morningside College in Sioux City, IA.
In just eight games, Lageschulte had a successful senior season with 10 receiving touchdowns, two rushing scores and a kickoff return for a TD. He also led the Golden Eagles in receptions (26) and receiving yards (462), and plans to play wide receiver for the Mustangs.
Lageschulte, an honor roll student at Bishop LeBlond, will major in mathematics.
Morningside claimed back-to-back NAIA national championships in 2018 and 2019. The Mustangs are a perennial contender in the NAIA, having won ten straight GPAC conference championships and 37 consecutive games.
After an undefeated regular season this past fall, Morningside will be compete in the NAIA playoffs this spring.
