The St. Joseph Mustangs notched 11 hits and took advantage of four errors to beat the Ban Johnson Raiders 11-7 at Phil Welch Stadium Thursday.
St. Joseph (13-7) overcame an early 2-0 deficit, scoring three runs in the third inning and five in the fourth to lead it 8-4. The Mustangs never trailed after, adding another run in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings.
Noah Bodenhausen, Trevor McCollum, Aron Harrington and Will Dryburg each had two hits in the win. Dryburg had a team-best three runs scored. Bodenhausen, McCollum and Cole Slibowski each scored twice.
On the mound, Mason Holton got the win in four innings, striking out seven and walking no one. He allowed eight hits and three earned runs.
The Mustangs' pitching staff struck out 13 batters in all Thursday.
St. Joseph stays home Friday to host Joplin. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
