A semi-tractor trailer flipped over on its side, backing up traffic on Interstate 29 near the Frederick Avenue intersection in St. Joseph for hours this morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident resulted in only moderate injuries, but created a serious traffic jam.
The patrol says the accident occurred just after 8:30 this morning, shutting down the interstate completely for a time, then down to one-lane, both northbound and southbound. The patrol reports the traffic congestion caused other, minor accidents.
