Donnie Ray Phroper, 66, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Friday, April 11, 2025 in St. Joseph. He was born August 28, 1958 in St. Joseph, son of the late, Maxine and Finest Phroper.
He worked in the family business as a Carpenter. Donnie brought a big smile and a laugh to all the rooms he entered. He enjoyed watching westerns, working on cars, loved mushroom hunting and fishing when he could, but above all, loved his grandkids.
Donnie was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Monty Dale Phroper.
Survivors include son, Shain (Crystal) Phroper of St. Joseph, MO, daughters, Rochelle Marriott, and Ashley Phroper, sisters, Brenda Phroper (son, Travis) of St. Joseph, MO, Juanita Roberts of St. Joseph, MO, Jackie (Rick) Winder of Easton, MO, Barb (Jack) Ellis of Union Star, MO, and Stacy (Scott) Bertelsen of Saint Joseph, MO, brothers, John (Donna) Phroper of Alamosa, CO, Ronnie Lee (Mary) Phroper of St. Joseph, MO, and Tracy Phroper of St. Joseph, MO, grandchildren, Breanna, Gage, Sadie, Toby, Bentley, Victor, Munroe, and Ace, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Rupp Funeral Home.
