GENTRY COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 6:30p.m. Saturday in Gentry County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Pontiac Vibe driven by Katherine M. Showers, 59, Oskaloosa, IA., was westbound on U.S. 136 two miles east of Albany.
The vehicle crossed the center line and struck a 2014 Kenworth Daycab driven by Marvin D. Anderson, 49, Gilman City, head-on.
Showers was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Roberson Funeral Home of Bethany. Anderson was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
