In loving memory of Christy Ramirez-Hughes

Christy Lee Ramirez-Hughes (Threlkeld), 64, of Gower, Missouri, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the night of Thursday, March 19th, 2026.

She was born on October 9, 1961, the oldest of 5 children, Christy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family deeply. She found great joy in spending time with those she loved and was always there for anyone who needed anything. Her kindness, compassion, and giving heart impacted many lives.

She worked as a paraprofessional with special education children, a calling that truly reflected her caring nature and passion for helping others. She loved her job and the impact she was able to make in the lives of her students.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Hughes; her children, Jessica Tomek, Alexandria Dickens, and Savannah Ramirez; her stepchildren, Richard Dean Hughes and Melissa Nauman; her mother, Connie Reeds; her siblings, Donna Cummins, David Threlkeld, and Sandra Norwood; her cherished grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her step-father, Robert Reeds; her brother, William Threlkeld; her children, Kyleen Agee and Isaiah Ramirez; and her stepson, Christopher Hughes.

Christy will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her love, strength, and the care she gave so freely to others. We find comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who went before her, and held in the presence of our Lord.

Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home 109 N 3rd Street, Gower, MO. Following the service friends and family are welcome to gather for a reception at the Gower Christian Church in the basement hall 203 South 3rd Street Gower, MO. Donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital (the link to donate is below). Inurnment will be held at a later date.
