Bertha Sue McLaury 66, of Saint Joseph, MO passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at a local health care center. She was born September 30, 1956 in St. Joseph, daughter of Louise and Raymond McLaury.
She graduated from Benton High School. Bertha worked at Stetson Hats for 25 years. Her hobbies included sewing, doing crafts, knitting, baking, working puzzles and reading, especially romance novels.
Bertha was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include daughters, Kimberlie McLaury and Angela McLaury of St. Joseph, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Ms. McLaury will be cremated following visitation. A private graveside inurnment will be held at Odd Fellows Public Cemetery at a later date.
