Steven H. Brodsky, 77, Savannah, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026.

He was born February 21, 1948 in Hartford, Connecticut, to Leon and Molly (Suckman) Brodsky. He grew up in Plattsburg, New York.

Steven served his country in the U.S. Air Force for two years at Forbes Field, Topeka, Kansas.

Steven married Wanda Faye Peterson on June 22, 1970. She survives of the home.

He earned his associate’s degree in respiratory therapy from Washburn University in Topeka, then continued his education at Missouri Western State University. He worked as a respiratory therapist at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, then later returned to New York state where he worked at the VA Hospital in New York City, where he retired in 1992.

Steven was very into sports and cheered for many teams, including the New York Mets, New York Rangers, Notre Dame football, and the New York Giants. He was a huge sports memorabilia collector.

An outgoing person whom everybody loved, Steven was all about his family. He loved spending time with the kids and his grandkids were his world. He was known as “the baby whisperer” for all of the little ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 55½ years, Wanda; children, David Brodsky, Natalie Elardo (Brian), Diane Brodsky, and Stacie Hasten (Randy); 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; younger brother, Arnold Brodsky; two nephews and several cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Natural Farewell under the direction of Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family suggests memorial contributions to the local youth sports league of the donor’s choice.
