More than 40 agricultural organizations are warning that federal immigration enforcement policies are disrupting American food production and creating additional financial pressure for farmers. According to sources, organizations representing dairy, livestock and produce producers have urged President Trump and congressional leaders to address growing agricultural labor shortages. The groups include the Kansas Livestock Association, Indiana Dairy Producers and several other agricultural organizations. They say immigration enforcement operations have disrupted meatpacking facilities, livestock transportation and harvesting activities in multiple states.
